The one I have is the Hypersharp Liner in Brown. I've always had a love for brown eyeliners, so I was definitely eager to see how it would fare, especially after reading all the other bloggers' reviews.
0.01 tip for drawing precise lines |
Indeed, the tip is one of the thinnest I've ever seen. However, I do notice that most brush-type liquid eyeliners have very thin tips, so it all boils down to the pigmentation of the liner itself.
Swatch on arm |
In terms of precision and drawing fine lines, the Hypersharp Liner does live up to its claims. I can easily draw thin lines, thicker lines, flicks and even curlicues easily. Nevertheless, I am rather disappointed by the pigmentation. One swipe yields a light brown line, and you will need to build up several layers to get a properly dark brown shade. That, in turn, increases the chance of smudging your eyeliner before it can dry.
Tried doing a double-winged eyeliner look, and I must say I quite like it. (◕‿◕✿) The thin tip allows me to draw flicks easily, and since the colour is buildable, I can draw a soft rough outline before filling it in. Guess there's actually a plus side to that. Besides that, the natural brown shade is perfect for that 'no makeup' makeup, or just for days when you want to keep your makeup simple and natural.
✗ Cons: Not very pigmented.
The Maybelline Hypersharp Liner Laser Precision retails at RM 35.90 and is available at all major supermarkets and pharmacies nationwide.

hehe.. I need practice with liner.. some more my eyelids are easily get oily..
wht you suggest?
Sherry: Hehe thank you! For oily lids, I think you will need to use a primer to make the eye makeup last longer. Otherwise I think maybe a pencil or gel liner will last longer. :)
