Bonjour, my lovelies! ♥
Did you enjoy the long Raya weekend? I sure did; it was a great opportunity to catch up with friends and discover new places. Talking about discovering new things, I'm glad to have found this gorgeous Bourjois lipstick, which was one of the items I won from Bourjois Malaysia's contest. (✿◠‿◠)
This lipstick is the Bourjois Rouge Edition lipstick, and the shade I have here is #17 Rose Millésime. The Rouge Edition lipsticks are one of Bourjois' top 3 bestselling items, the other two being their Healthy Mix Foundation and Little Round Pot Blush (which I will also review in separate posts).
Packaging-wise, the Rouge Edition lipsticks are fairly standard. It comes in a sleek black, square, lightweight plastic casing, with a section at the bottom showing the shade colour and number. Although light, it is quite sturdy, and the cover snaps close firmly enough that you don't have to worry too much about it accidentally popping open when thrown into a bag. The words 'Rouge Edition' are printed on one side of the cap, while the Bourjois wording is embossed on the adjoining side.
#17 Rose Millésime (means vintage rose in French) is a beautiful rose pink shade with subtle shimmer, and is definitely one of the most popular out of the 10 shades available here. In the tube, it looks similar to my Peripera #10 Rose Pink, just slightly lighter. There is no noticeable scent to the lipstick, although there is a faint lipstick-y smell if you take a very close sniff at the tube. (And really, who does that?!)
Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in #17 Rose Millésime |
✓ Pros: Good pigmentation, good variety of shades (10 available to date), smooth creamy texture, moisturizing, user-friendly packaging.
✗ Cons: Not easily available outside of Klang Valley.
※ Neutral: Average longevity, slightly above drugstore pricing but still fairly affordable.
The Bourjois Rouge Edition lipsticks (3.5g) retail at RM 39.90, and is available at the Bourjois kiosk @ Sunway Pyramid, as well as selected Watson's stores within the Klang Valley.

Oolalaaa!
Olufunmi: Thank you! This shade had already caught my eye when I visited the store, so I was really happy to have gotten it. :) You should try their Healthy Mix foundation too, if you can find a shade to suit you. It's really worth the hype.

i do! (referring to the act of sniffing the lipstick tube lol)
and if you dont mind can you please do a post on an eye liner that you would suggest for a beginner ;P and maybe a tutorial too
very nice!
Farisha: Ahh, you got to pick your shade? I didn't get to pick coz the SA just handed me the bag with the products in it, haha! But I'm happy to get this shade because it's the one I've been eyeing, and I love pinkish shades like this one. :D
Street Love: Yeshh I love lipstick shades like this too. You also have nice lips what! :P
Ahleessa: Bourjois are famous for their Healthy Mix Foundation, but their lipsticks are good too! :D
Chqz: Hahaha I usually just sniff them once or twice when I first open them, unless I love the scent and can't stop smelling them lol. I've reviewed the latest K-Palette eyeliner (which you've already seen and commented on; thank you! ^^). I would recommend that you try out different types of eyeliners to see which ones suit you best; a lot of ppl recommend pencil for beginners but personally I found pen-type liquid eyeliners the best for me. :)
Rane: Hehe yes indeed! :D
